ASK Astrology extends our branches
In 2023, the Asteri Sofia Kairos collective commenced our first official gathering to grab a particular election. The event itself caused a bit of a fracturing in the group but that allowed us to grow into the first shape of who we were collectively.
We began our group by hosting events to celebrate the Sabbats on the Wheel of the Year, starting with Samhain. Our founding members, Sonia - Celestia Astrology , By Jove Astrology , Shawna - Unfolding Astrology & Practical Astros ⚕️ shared insights on the season, recipes to invite the astrology into your life, looked at the astrology ahead and we got our sea legs under us practicing hosting these events together.
Collective work is a bit like making oobleck, a fascinating substance consisting of cornstarch & water. It only finds form as a solid when there’s friction, movement. Otherwise, the mixture will turn to liquid and fall through your hands. Our collective work was like this, one of us would have the time & bandwidth to work on part of a project for a few hours in a week and then someone else would pick it up. Each of us keeping the oobleck into a solid-enough-form so that it didn’t melt away.
Luckily, we all love astrology and so it was an excuse to research and collate all of the magical information we were undulating beneath. We began this thing because we all went through years of astrology school together at Nightlight Astrology. When our courses ended, we wanted to keep the alchemical bond that held us together in our early astrology years. The first year of hosting Sabbat events was mostly just us learning how to translate our obsession with astrology to a small, tender and appreciative audience. As we grew, so did our collective.
We began to want to do more and so we dipped our toes into a workshop on the eclipses. This effort was grand and the joy of pulling these together and delivering the event to the public was fantastic. The feedback we got after the first one was mostly “I can’t believe you haven’t done this before!” We pulled it off and loved doing it. We were all very proud to offer our voices in this way and so we’ve continued to offer eclipse workshops twice a year since.
Additionally to these workshops (the next one is in August!) we began a weekly forecasting series. These are a labor of love, if you’ve ever written or recorded forecasting then you know. We released a weekly video for all of 2025 & the first few months of 2026 but then our individual schedules became too demanding. It wasn’t sustainable for us to keep up that weekly quota given all of this is free, volunteer work. We do this because we love to, but we also have our astrology careers to make us livings. It was bittersweet to compost the weeklies and I know that a lot of you were sad to see them go. Nothing is permanent, but we’re not making any promises that they’ll return this year…we’ll see #wink
That brings us to today, a lovely auspicious moment of Jupiter & Venus coming together in the last decan of Cancer. The Pisces moon witnessing this event just makes it sweeter.
The ASK Astrology Collective has Pisces as the 3rd House, so we are in a 3H Jupiter ruled profection. The benefics are transiting the ASK’s 7th House and so we wanted to honor this by creating something new. Individually we are all still busy, creating our businesses, living our lives, raising our families and watching the skies. So what we’ve come up with is to offer any paid ASK subscriber to get an assortment of collective work by our members.
